This innovative material-handling tool has been designed to make loading overhead storage hoppers a one-man job using forkliftable bins. The GM-10 can easily and inexpensively move sand, slag, steel grit or specular hematite horizontally or vertically to another location. A variety of options can be added to further increase the versatility. Most commonly, it is used to:

• Send grit delivered in forkliftable bins to a storage silo-hopper
• Send non-recyclable grit directly into a waste container such as a roll off dump box.
• Send recyclable grit back to the grit recycling machine, pot or storage bin.

Worker safety: Storage hopper loading is a safe, quick, one-man job.

Delivery flexibility-cost reduction: Normally a flatbed with full bins is exchanged for a flatbed with empties. Once in your yard, you decide where and when to use your grit inventory. Flatbed delivery of bins is less costly than bulk tanker delivery.

Dust reduction: Because so little air is used to push the grit, the typical dust emissions from unloading of sand and slag are virtually eliminated. Nighttime unloading is no longer required.

Specular hematite rouge elimination: When used with this material, NO rouge is created during transfers.

Speed of transfer: Whether sand, slag, steel grit or specular hematite is used, the transfer rate for a 50 foot distance is approximately one ton per minute.

• Typically installed in a storage silo, this level probe automatically prevents overfilling. Simple and durable.

• Attached to the side of the unit, this allows a mobile pot or bin to be filled in much the same way that water trucks are filled from a mobile pump. A flexible hose can be adjusted in length to set fill level.
